Who am I?

I would better describe myself as an independent ICT architect, specializing on integration issues, and found of cryptography.

I am dealing with distributed computing since 1983, worked with nearly every Operating System and data communication protocol, and absorb every new technology, language or concept - and every product I can touch - like a sponge since then.

I'm curious indeed, but on any project I stay focused on the deliverables. I like to create the simple systems with a proper mix of people, technology and processes, that can support very complex business environments and see them work for many years.

Over the years, I learned to use my technology addiction to build new ideas but not necessarily apply them immediately. I do favor now a productive balance between progress and conservatism.

Where I work?

As an independent worker, you can indeed hire me for writing Java code for your favorite J2EE server (my preference is with BEA), or developing the transformation scripts for your EAI platform (I practice MS Biztalk, SAP eXchange Infrastructure - as certified developer, and a few more).

However, if I love keeping hands on technology, I can create much more value in architecture teams, platform selection, framework set-up, project design, planning and management with special skills in ...integration, of course. I can act like a fireman to restore a project on a right track, solve stability issues, and even audit an IT department (which I did already a few times) or an application (on numerous occasions). I am accustomed to work for international companies, travelling is not much an issue.

I like capturing the attention of an audience, facing the most complex questions, and love writing. Indeed, I'm preparing a book on ...The "Art" of Enterprise Application Integration... hence this site.

I am an active member of a based in belgium. To put it shortly, we share commercial leads and help each other with knowledge and expertise.

I am also collaborating with a small company that exhibit the values I loved while working for Ernst & Young, the kind too that hasn't lost enthusiasm. It is named . A team of highly qualified people (.Net, J2EE, SAP Netweaver, IBM Websphere, security ...) you'd love to (and they'll love too) see implement the projects you need to get running on time and budget.

While Coralis is a provider worth considering for resources - I mean IT specialists - Aprico Consultants is focused on solutions and uniquely skilled at delivering on projects. This is very complementary, and indeed they cooperate with each other.

I also keep on collaborating with my previous employer Cap Gemini on a few occasions.
